It's been cold here in Washington, D.C. but we haven't had much snow, just a little bit the other day and it melted quickly. The many ponds and lakes in our area got a very thin layer of ice cover - don't you dare try to skate on it! The ice is so thin that they haven't turned off most of the fountains in these man-made bodies of water, which creates these interesting water circles. They're kind of interesting, kind of pretty. Of course, it may be only me that thinks so!
The geese here seem puzzled by what they see!
