Wow! A reader for life!

I couldn't find my library card so I went to the library and picked up a new one. I just checked my online status and found to my surprise that my new card doesn't expire for 27 years! I'll be 74 years old by then, about to turn 75. It makes me feel good to know that they trust me to live for at least that long!

Think about it a second, 75 isn't so old anymore, and if you have a library card, it shows that you enjoy reading in the first place.

The secret to a long life, according to the ultimate expert,George Burns, was to always have something to do. When he died, his agents had to cancel four YEARS of concert dates. There is something to consider, the man was planning to live to be at least 104. If he'd made it, what are the odds that they still would have to cancel scheduled appearances?

Thanks, Joe. I remember when George Burns was, I think, 86, he held a 100th birthday party for himself. Many thought he was being very optimistic about how long he would live. He proved his doubters wrong!
